What’s it really like to be 18 in America right now?
This spring, Medium worked with a class of high school seniors in the San Francisco Bay Area to find the answer to that question. Through a series of projects — some written, others visual or video— the students told their own stories and captured a vibrant portrait of their lives, from within school walls to well outside them. Here is the result: A raw, raucous and very real of depiction of what it’s like to be an American teen today.

Assignment: Give us a window into your life. Take this tumblr and own it. Show us what excites you, what pisses you off, what makes you sad or mad — whatever you post just has to be YOU.

Assignment: Paint us a picture of a normal day in your life. Use Instagram, Vine, or SnapChat to document the next 24 hours.
